| Enthusiastic feedback after GridwiseTech's Business Workshop |

On 22-23 February, 2007, we hosted 50 guests, including representatives of Polish banks and other financial institutions, at GridwiseTech's Business Workshop. The event offered an opportunity to learn more about Grids and their application in industry and generated an enthusiastic feedback from our guests.
 The conference program included an introduction to Grid technologies, case studies about the benefits of implementing Grid systems in banks and financial institutions, as well as the expected challenges for the Polish financial sector in the nearest ten years. During the afternoon sessions, selected Grid products and a Grid demo were presented by experts from Platform Computing and IBM. A memorable event in the agenda was GridwiseTech's large-auditorium presentation for ca. 200 Krakow's IT professionals (for details please see a separate article).  The following day was devoted to social events, including a guided tour of Krakow, the spectacular medieval capital of Poland, and a trip to Wysoka, a 16th century mansion of the Polish gentility. The highlight of the evening was a concert of lute music and polyphonic songs by the host of the manor house. The extremely favorable response of our guests proved that the event was a valuable opportunity to come in contact with cutting-edge technologies. The participants congratulated us on 'very effective organization of the event', 'the wide spectrum of participants', 'presentations led by well-prepared speakers', 'a convincing presentation of the topic'. Also, they expressed their interest in the continuation of such meetings, perhaps with other industry sectors in mind.
