In-silico drug testing and epidemiology research are among key challenges in the pharmaceutical sector and often require complex and CPU-intensive simulations that can make use of distributed processing capabilities. Scientists from corporate laboratories are also involved in research of protein folding and virtual docking. Modern distributed design, the scalable integration paradigm and deployment of management and optimization technologies could radically speed up their processing.
