Ricoh's Corporate Technology Planning Center has subscribed to Grid Computing technology for several years, and began its collaboration with GridwiseTech in early 2006. In the initial stage of its collaboration, GridwiseTech provided us with a technical report that included tactful advice and a short technical tutorial. In the second phase, our Corporate Technology Planning Center started to build a prototype of a system with GridwiseTech.

Using their skillful engineering ability, GridwiseTech closely supported us in building the core parts of the system. In the last part of the second phase, it was remarkable that GridwiseTech's engineers deployed the core part into the prototype hardware with perfect quality and phenomenal speed.

GridwiseTech supports the Corporate Technology Planning Center, which supervises all technologies in the Ricoh Group and explores important new technologies to be developed over the next couple of years.

We are very content with the services of GridwiseTech and are convinced that we derived enlightenment and knowledge about Grid computing from GridwiseTech as a result of our cooperation. We believe the project has proved extremely fruitful, not only to Ricoh's software research and development but also to our business strategies.
