Management Tutorial on Grid Computing

GridwiseTech presents a half-day management-level technology tutorial, primarily focused on the newcomers to the Grid industry. It answers the questions:

  • What is Grid computing? Why and how is it useful in business?
  • What is Grid technology? Is it usable? What is the state of the market?
  • What does a Grid architecture and Grid application mean?
  • Why and how should I migrate to a Grid architecture?
  • Why should I grid-enable my software product, and how do I go about it?
  • What are the solutions existing on the market, and how do I choose among them?

No technical experience is necessary to attend the workshop, though a general background in IT technology is assumed. The workshop is mainly lecture-based, but we also plan some live demonstrations. We also discuss examples of existing solutions and installations that share the characteristics of a grid. Contact us for more information.

Who should participate

  • Decision makers intending to invest in Grid computing
  • Technology investigators who plan to evaluate Grid technologies
  • All those who lack a coherent view of Grid technology
  • All those who seek a systematic approach to building Grid systems
