GridwiseTech talks on HA and business continuityThursday, 13 May 2010As the importance of business data increases, smart investment in IT infrastructure is ever more crucial to a company’s success. How to build stable and IT systems that maintain business continuity and stay within budget? Pawel Plaszczak and his team will discuss this question on May 27th at the 'Data safety and accessibility. Business continuity' conference. GridwiseTech’s survey of the medium-size enterprise segment uncovered the five dominant investment directions at the level of data management architecture: disaster recovery (DR), high availability (HA), backup, data processing performance, and migration to more robust database platforms. At the forthcoming conference, GridwiseTech’s engineers will discuss the cost of high availability and reliability. They will also present modern procedures for maintaining data reliability and security designed to meet each of these challenges. Guest lecturer, Duncan Harvey from Oracle UK, will talk on use-cases, with special consideration of the costs and benefits of investment. 'Our survey proved that IT managers are aware of the risk and consequences of losing crucial data and are looking for ways to improve their infrastructures. During our work, we have identified paths for implementing efficient data management systems, and decided to share them at the conference' – explains Pawel Plaszczak, President of GridwiseTech, who will give the introductory lecture. The 'Data safety and accessibility. Business continuity' conference will take place at the Oracle Partner HUB in Krakow, Poland. Register here.
