One week – two conferencesMonday, 07 September 2009GridwiseTech is having full of travel, busy week. You can meet us at the Virtual Physiological Human Network of Excellence Meeting in Brussels, Belgium, as well as at the Polish Network Operators Group conference in Cracow, Poland, speaking on how we improve IT systems. Pawel Plaszczak, President of GridwiseTech, takes part in the VPH NoE meeting as a representative of ViroLab. It is a project dedicated to fighting HIV, led by consortium of European hospitals and institutions. Pawel will give a talk on AdHoc - GridwiseTech’s application for easy and secure sharing of distributed resources. It was initially created within ViroLab, but soon emerged to alter the way Virtual Organizations are perceived. To learn more, watch the short movie or come to see his presentation on September 9th. Tomasz Mikolajczyk, our CTO, will be taking part in the PLNOG conference to discuss the importance of data scalability for the network operators and content providers. In his presentation he will introduce a methodic approach to building scalable databases, including techniques such as: optimization, hardware extensions, caching, sharding, in-memory databases, and more.
